• A warmer welcome on big screens

  The desktop front door got a new look: the ClearWeek story told on one calm page, from a note in the newsletter to events on your family calendar, with sample events clearly marked. Phones keep the same quick start as before, and nothing about scanning or your saved events changed.

• ClearWeek notices when a newsletter goes missing

  Email forwarding can break silently: this week our own school changed one letter in its subject line and the forwarding rule quietly stopped matching. ClearWeek now watches for the gap. If about a week goes by without a newsletter arriving, you get a short email with your forwarding address and a one-minute fix, instead of finding out later that events never made the calendar.

• Pick your child's icon, no typing neededfrom your feedback

  A beta parent told us the Emoji box in Settings was a mystery, and they were right. It is now a row of icons you tap: pick one and it shows in the little circle next to your child's name on every event. Skip it and their first initial appears there instead, same as before.

• ClearWeek settles into big screens

  On a laptop or desktop, ClearWeek now uses the room: navigation moves to a left sidebar, Home adds a week-at-a-glance summary with a month calendar beside your list, and the Automatic tab shows forwarded newsletters as a proper table with received times. Phones stay exactly as they were.

• A clearer front door

  The welcome screen now opens with what ClearWeek is here to do: your child's school week, made clear. Same scan box, same privacy promises, calmer first impression. Families already using ClearWeek see their week exactly as before.

• Clearer This Week view

  The home page now shows the current week first (today through Sunday, on your school's clock), with a Coming up look-ahead below so dates like the first day of school stay visible. If this week has no events, it says so plainly instead of jumping ahead.

• Extra safety copies of your data

  As promised on this page: the Automatic tier's data is now copied every night to encrypted backups kept for 30 days, separate from the live database. We also ran a real restore drill to prove the copies work.

• Pricing announced: flat, per family

  As promised, well before anything changes: Plus will be $4.99 a month or $39 a year, and Pro (the Automatic tier) will be $9.99 a month or $79 a year, always flat per family, never per child. Everything stays free through the beta, and families who join during the beta get their first year of Pro for $39. Details and honest answers on the new pricing page.

• Watch ClearWeek work, in 60 seconds

  The help page now opens with a one minute demo video: a school newsletter becomes calendar events with reminders, start to finish on a phone. Made for anyone who would rather see it than read about it.

• Your school's time zonefrom your feedback

  Every account now has a school time zone setting (Automatic tab, under Subscribe your calendar). Newsletters mean "noon at school," so event times follow your school's clock and your calendar app shows them correctly wherever you are, including for families outside Central time.

• Clearer security buttons

  The buttons that replace your private forwarding address and calendar link are now labeled as resets, tucked under a Security heading, and explained in the help page, so nobody clicks one by accident.

• Times fixed in subscribed calendarsfrom your feedback

  A family spotted a noon event showing as 7 AM in Google Calendar. The calendar feed now declares its time zone explicitly, so subscribed calendars show the right time, always. Found and fixed the same day.

• Help guide and one-account-per-familyfrom your feedback

  A new help page explains all three tiers and the questions real families hit first, including why spouses should share one account's calendar link instead of making a second account.

• Plus data backup and restore

  Plus families can download a backup file of their children and saved events in Settings and restore it on a new device or browser.

• Sign-in outage fixed

  Sign-in links broke for a few hours after a configuration slip on our side. Fixed the same afternoon, and the code now protects itself against that whole class of mistake. Being honest about misses is part of the deal.

• SchoolSync is now ClearWeek

  New name, new look, same promise: school newsletters, on your calendar. Navigation moved to a bottom tab bar (Home, Calendar, Newsletters, Settings) so the everyday screens are one thumb-tap away.

• Feedback boxfrom your feedback

  Settings now has a feedback form that goes straight to the team. Much of this page exists because parents used it.

• Forwarded the wrong email? Fixed in one tapfrom your feedback

  Live family testing shaped a set of protections: delete any forwarded email (and only the events it created) instantly, re-forward it later and it processes fresh, and each row in your pipeline now expands to show exactly which events that email produced.

  Events from forwarded newsletters now appear in Home and Calendar alongside your saved ones, marked with an Auto badge, so signed-in families see everything in one place.

• ClearWeek Plusfrom your feedback

  Beta parents asked for color coding and per-child tagging, so Plus added child profiles with colors and icons, saved events on your device, a day-by-day list, and a month calendar.

• The Automatic tier

  The big one: forward a school email (or set a one-time rule) and events appear on a private calendar feed your whole family can subscribe to. Includes change alerts when a later newsletter moves an event, and a digest email when new events arrive. No passwords, just a sign-in link by email. ClearWeek never sees your inbox, only what you forward.

• ClearWeek is born (as SchoolSync)

  First release: paste or upload a school newsletter, AI finds every event, you review them and add them to your calendar. Privacy first from day one: free scans are processed in memory and never stored, and the AI provider does not train on newsletter content.
